Edgewater is a lakefront enclave on Chicago’s North Side that features several beaches and parks that may be enjoyed year-round. Edgewater was first developed around the 1880s as a summer home for Chicago’s elite. Today, it provides the northern terminus of both Lincoln Park and Lake Shore Drive.
The CTA’s Red & Purple train lines run through Edgewater, enabling residents rapid and easy access to other parts of the city.
