Edgewater

With its wide streets, spacious yards, and friendly neighbors, Edgewater is the perfect neighborhood for city dwellers who miss the suburban way of life. Residents enjoy block parties and garden walks, along with playing volleyball and biking along the lakeshore. The neighborhood is a short 10-minute drive away from downtown; however, cars are not necessary for Edgewater residents as the neighborhood has plenty of public transportation.

The Red and Purple train lines run through Edgewater, allowing residents easy access to other areas in the city. Also, grocery stores, restaurants and shops are scattered all throughout the neighborhood, so residents are able to walk rather than drive. The housing found in Edgewater is as diverse as its residents; new construction has created a wide variety of high-rises, condominiums, multi-unit mid-rises and single family homes.
