How Does This Work?

No one knows the Chicago market and neighborhoods better than the Apartment People. When it's time to start looking for a new apartment our award winning service makes it easy and convenient.

When should you begin your apartment search?
We recommend beginning your search 30 to 60 days before your move date. This timeframe can give you access to a wider variety of apartments in any number of neighborhoods from the South Loop to Evanston. Need to move sooner? No problem, enter your move date in our Search Listing page or just let our agents know and you're on your way.

How do you search for apartments?
We offer multiple ways to begin your search, the first being our Search Listings page where you can narrow your search by rent range, neighborhoods, university proximity, number of bedrooms, pet friendly and much, much more. You can save your search criteria and log on as often as you like to stay current on new apartments coming available. Simply enter your criteria, print it out, and stop by or call one of our locations.

What happens next?
When you meet with our agents, they'll help you narrow or expand your search depending on your needs. Then you're off to see the apartments. This initial meeting can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours depending on the number of apartments you'd like to see. Our team of agents are experts in the rental market. It's our job to keep you updated on new listings, take you on apartment tours, walk you through the paperwork, and get you into your next apartment.
